Kayaking

Kayaking is just one of the great ways to celebrate the water-based-lifestyle that our guests, residents, and tourists embrace. Seeking experiential adventure, quiet and surreal? A kayak excursion can get you up close and personal with the abundant natural beauty of our area.

Kayaking amongst whales is a life changing experience. We know of no better place to do so than in the waters around Telegraph Cove.

Robson Bight, the Broughton Archipelago, and magnificent Great Bear Rainforest are just a few areas of local interest. The Great Bear Rainforest is a 32,000 square kilometers (12,000 sq. miles) preserve. Put in perspective, the area is three-and-a-half times larger than Yellowstone National Park. The Great Bear Rainforest is the home to the Spirit Bear (Kermode), the rarest bear in the world.

First Nations have a rich history dating back thousands of years in our area. First Nations’ culture, communities, and pictographs can be explored during your kayak excursion.

North Island Kayak is conveniently located at Telegraph Cove Marina and offers guided day and overnight kayak trips from May to October. These trips can include luxury-guided camping options.
