It was our family’s dream in the 1980’s to build a home at Telegraph Cove. We have long celebrated the water-based-lifestyle that our magnificent area provides. Our company Telegraph Cove Venture Inc. (TCV) set out in 1991 to share with others this lifestyle, rich in its abundance. Instead of just building a house we decided to build a community in the backdrop of the rich culture of historic Telegraph Cove. Our ongoing journey has taken tremendous foresight, skill, patience, and energy.

First, we cleaned up an environmentally neglected parcel. Then we drilled, blasted, built roads, and built staff housing. Land use planning, developing first class infrastructure, and securing substantial water rights came next.

TCV then built the best private water utility on Vancouver Island, designed with the dual goals of informed simplicity and sustainability. Central to the utility design was the installation of an environmentally sound utility distribution system with strong fuse-welded HDPE piping (100+ year lifespan). A 2m US gallon rainwater/raw water reservoir was built to guarantee the purest water possible. Our municipal grade water treatment plant can accommodate a city of thousands of residents, and is designed to be averse to shortages and outages.

Some people think water simply comes from the faucet. We know where our quality water comes from, every step, from the forest to our faucets. Clean, clear and plentiful are the backbones of Telegraph Cove Utilities’ water.

The foundation of our journey was then in place. Next came the development of Telegraph Cove Marina and RV Park, and Dockside 29 to accommodate guests and owners alike.

The goal for D29 was an over-the-water cooperative apartment building with a central location, views of historic Telegraph Cove, and proximity to both car and boat. We set out to refine a beautiful but rustic Telegraph Cove. These self-contained apartment units are big on utility and a great value for your dollar. The ability to park their boat on one side, and their car on the other, are conveniences our guests and owners appreciate.

These cooperative units are easy to own, and easy to maintain.

Next on Telegraph Cove Venture Inc.’s development journey, we set our sights on developing Telegraph Point, an unparalleled 72-lot phased bare land strata subdivision. Exquisite and accessible, just a few minute walk from Telegraph Cove, these lots all boast waterfront or expansive water views. The whale superhighway runs right by our foreshore, delighting our owners and guests alike.

Telegraph Point’s northern views have Johnstone Strait in the foreground, islands, then stretching further into the jagged snow capped Coast Range in the distance. Our south and westerly views are of Vancouver Island’s Franklin Range as Mount Holdsworth rises up out of Beaver Cove.
