November 2012

Work is ongoing to create a wide, usable passenger-vehicle road over MacDonald Mountain, including road improvements at the North & South road interchanges. There are some beautiful viewpoints we are opening up along the way.

September 2011

New flower boxes and railing were installed at the lot north of Dockside 29. These skookum and beautiful flower boxes were made from salvaged yellow cedar. This is a community partnership between Dockside 29 owners, Telegraph Cove Marina, and Telegraph Cove Venture. Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and money to help make this project a reality.

September 2010

The Seahorse Cafe has recently opened its new Gallery building which offers arts and crafts including native carved masks, artwork, and much more.

August 2010

Another outstanding fishing season is upon us. 34,000,000 sockeye are swimming the cove on their way to the Fraser River. This extraordinary run is the largest since 1914 and will help keep future sockeye runs vibrant and strong.

July 2009

This summer has seen some of the best fishing that we have experienced in years. Abundant whales (Orca, Minke, Humpback) have been seen regularly as they feed in Johnstone Strait and nearby Robson Bite. Lots of sunshine, fish, whales and fun. February 2009 Update

Telegraph Cove Marina is eagerly awaiting and preparing for the summer 2009 season. The Hooded Merganser ducks are migrating through the area and are a pretty site to behold from Dockside 29, reminding us that summer is just around the corner. Reservations are heating up.

Telegraph Point Phases 4-8 Water and Sewer installation completed January 2009

Telegraph Cove Venture has completed the water and sewer line installations for Telegraph Point lots 25-54, including fire hydrants. Underground Hydro and Telephone installations to come.

Telegraph Cove Marina reconstruction project completed July, 2008

Beginning in October, 2007 Telegraph Cove Marina floats were removed from the water for billet floatation replacement and structural improvements. This large scale project replaced the old foam floatation with new HDPE encapsulated closed-cell foam to meet our long term floatation needs. This reconstruction project included the creation of 13 additional marina slips, the addition of a breakwater, and the placement of a two additional fish cleaning stations.

New boardwalk shelter completed June 2008

Telegraph Cove Venture is proud to introduce its new boardwalk shelter for guests to take in the wonderful views of Telegraph Cove. This handsome shelter adds a nice compliment to the Telegraph Cove historic boardwalk extension.

2007 Tourism season a huge success.

Telegraph Cove Marina enjoyed another great tourism season. YTD though September 2007, overall business was up by 18 percent over 2006. Many thanks to our dedicated repeat customers and to our new guests who have come to discover the adventure activities and wonderful atmosphere to be found at Telegraph Cove. Dockside 29 continues to prove itself as the premier north island accommodation.
